Global PC brand Acer today unveiled its first 5G-enabled convertible laptop Spin 7 in India. The Spin 7 features the Snapdragon 8cx Gen 2 5G platform and is available from Rs 1,34,999 in the Acer Exclusive Store, Acer Online Store and other retail stores.
The 14-inch laptop is powered by the Snapdragon 8cx Gen 2 5G computer platform and has a 360-degree hinge that allows users to flexibly toggle the screen to read or type a document in clamshell mode, or to take notes to make the device’s touchscreen mode. It weighs 1.4 kg and is 15.9 mm thin. The device has a housing made of magnesium-aluminum alloy. Windows Hello gives users instant fingerprint access to Windows 10 devices.
The touchscreen is covered with a layer of antimicrobial Corning Gorilla Glass. The Snapdragon 8cx Gen 2 5G computing platform supports 5G connectivity for both mmWave and Sub-6 GHz Frequencies. The speed, low latency, and independence that 5G connectivity offers mean the Spin 7 can meet the demands of modern working life, according to Acer.
The new Spin 7 runs Windows 10 Pro, which contains built-in protection functions for data, devices and people and protects business information and personal identities even on lost or stolen devices.
The laptop comes with a 56 Wh battery that, according to Acer, lasts up to 29 hours.
The Spin 7 case also features an Acer Active Stylus, a rechargeable pen with 4,096 levels of pressure sensitivity that Wacom AES 1.0 uses to sketch or take notes on the device’s touchscreen.
