Google officially announced Android 12 at his Google I / O event. The operating system is also available in beta for select smartphones, and users have already started to discover new features such as exact location, new user interface and much more.
Among other things a Reddit User Kilarasx found a dedicated game mode while messing around with Android 12 Beta that was hidden somewhere under the digital wellbeing. According to the Reddit post, game mode has been hidden under Settings -> Digital wellbeing -> Do not disturb -> Schedules. Under the Sleep and Event Schedules option, the user found the game mode switch.
Well, this may be a very unusual place to put such a useful feature, but it clearly states that Google plans to bake the game mode right on the operating system at the core level.
When you return to Game Mode and turn it on, you’ll see a new menu with six options: Quick Screenshots, Screen Capture, Screen FPS Counter and do not disturb mode and more.
Android Authority This has also been reported on Google Pixel 4 running Android 12 beta.
The four options also include game optimization and YouTube Live options. That said, Google plans to bring game optimization features to the core level of the operating system, rather than just software that most companies offer today. Likewise, Game streamer I am happy to have a built-in YouTube Live option. This will make streamers like easier.
According to Redditor, the game optimization feature is not currently working. Google may enable this feature in future versions of Android 12 beta.
