Technology giant from Cupertino Apple has launched new bands and a dial for its Apple Watch series today. The new bands and dials are launched on the occasion of the International Day Against Homophobia, Transphobia and Biphobia (IDAHOT).
The new bands and dial complement the company’s other Pride range offerings.
New Apple Watch Band price and availability
The company has launched two new bands – Pride Edition Braided Solo Loop and the new Pride Edition Nike Sport Loop. These tapes cost Rs 7,900 and Rs 3,900 respectively and can be ordered from Apple.com today.
New compatibility with Apple Watch bands
The Pride Edition Braided Solo Loop is compatible with Apple Watch SE and Apple Watch Series 4 or higher, while the Pride Edition Nike Sport Loop is compatible with Apple Watch Series 3 or higher.
Pride Edition Braided Solo Loop Design
The Pride Edition braided solo bow includes the rainbow colors taken from various Pride flags, plus black and brown threads to symbolize the black and Latin communities. The blue, pink and white threads are said to represent transgender and non-binary people, according to the company.
Apple claims the tape is made from recycled stretch yarn that is interwoven with silicone thread and will be available in 12 different lengths.
Pride Edition Nike Sport Loop Design
This ribbon features six colors of the original rainbow and is made with reflective yarn to make it more breathable.
Apple Watch Pride Faces
The new dial is intended to reflect the colors of the Braided Solo Loop band. As the digital crown rotates, the strings on the dial roll and animate infinitely with a raise of the wrist, Apple said.
The 2021 Pride watch face will be launched as part of a software update.
