Technology giant Apple can enter into one partnership With LG and Magna for his long awaited Apple car and that could happen this year itself, a report in the Korea Times claims. The company’s joint venture is said to be called “LG Magna e-Powertrain”.
The partnership between the technology companies is expected to close later this year, with Apple being the main customer. The LG and Magna auto company will produce the first models of the Apple car after the deal is signed. Rumor has it that the Apple car won’t hit the market until 2025 at the earliest.
This is a completely different claim made recently regarding Apple’s plans for its electric car. It used to be rumored that the Cupertino-based tech giant was in talks with him Kia and Hyundai for the cooperation that the car companies denied in February. Both are big brands in the auto world and would not have suffered any hegemonic ideas from Apple. A partnership with LG and Magna seems more accessible as the companies act as the links in the auto supply chain and could give Apple more freedom and domination.
However, nothing has been confirmed about the reported deal by the above companies. Nobody knows exactly how long it will take Apple to roll out a product like the Apple car, as the tech giant has reportedly been working on self-driving technology under the code name Project Titan since 2015. Right now, before jumping to predictions, the best thing to do is to wait for an official announcement.
