Since arriving almost two years ago Apple Arcade has received a slow but steady supply of new games. That was until now. Apple has now added 30 new games at once in Apple Arcade and the list includes some old classic games too. Apple also added two new categories – Timeless Classics and Appstore Great games on Apple Arcade.
As the name suggests, Timeless Classics has some popular titles including “Good Sudoku by Zach Gage”, “Chess – Play & Learn” and “Backgammon”. App Store Greats offers game titles such as “Threes!”, “Mini Metro” and “Fruit Ninja Classic”.
One of the biggest selling points of Apple Arcade is that all games are completely ad-free and do not require any in-game purchases or subscriptions. Apple Arcade is part of Apple One (plans start at Rs 195) or for a monthly subscription of Rs 99 with a one month free trial.
“In its inaugural year, Apple Arcade won over media critics and fans for its creativity, diverse portfolio and commitment to player privacy, and provided a safe gaming service for family and friends to enjoy,” said Matt Fischer, vice president of Apple Appstore . “Today we’re launching our biggest expansion since the service debuted and we’re now offering more than 180 great games, including new arcade originals, timeless classics, and App Store greats,” added Fischer.
New games added to Apple Arcade include NBA 2K21 Arcade Edition, Star Trek: Legends, and The Oregon Trail. Games added to Timeless Classics also include Checkers Royale, Chess – Play & Learn, Flipflop Solitaire, Good Sudoku by Zach Gage, SpellTower, and Mahjong Titan; At App Store Greats are the new games “BADLAND”, “Blek”, “Don’t Starve: Pocket Edition”, “Reigns” and “The Room Two”.
Apple also announced that it will soon add Legends of Kingdom Rush, Frenzic Overtime, and Leo’s Fortune to Apple Arcade.
