Apple may unveil the third generation Apple Pencil on April 20th

Now that we know Apple is hosting a special event in April 2020, rumors of what might be revealed are flying close and fast. While all the rumors point to the new iPad Pro Almost a certainty, tipsters have swum other leaks as well. According to a post on the Chinese social networking platform Weibo, Apple could introduce the third generation Apple pencil. The leak came from an account called “Uncle Pan Pan” – which has a hit-and-miss record for Apple leaks.
Last month, another tipster shared a picture of the alleged Apple Pencil 3 on Twitter. Apple last updated the Pencil in 2018 when it launched the first-generation iPad Pro. It could be time the Pencil got an upgrade along with the iPad.
Speaking of the iPad: The new generation iPad Pro could be presented on April 20 at the Spring Loaded online event organized by Apple.
It has been speculated that the iPad will be a brand new processor. It has also been suggested that Apple is bringing mini LED display technology to the iPad for the first time.
A report from Bloomberg said the iPad Pro may be delayed due to the ongoing global chip shortage despite the iPad Pro being unveiled.
Another product that has been rumored for a long time is the AirTags – a tile-like tracking device – that could also be presented at the event.
Rumors of new models from AirPods also made the rounds. However, there were conflicting reports around them. Well-known Apple analyst Ming-Chi Kuo said that AirPods will not arrive in early 2021, but only in the third quarter of the year. But the same leaker who informed Weibo about the Apple Pencil mentions that AirPods could also arrive. Take all rumors with a pinch of salt as we won’t find out until Apple officially launches the products on April 20th.
