NEW DELHI: Smartphone manufacturer Asus recently launched its flagship Asus Zenfone 8 Smartphone worldwide. The company delayed the smartphone launch in India due to the ongoing second wave of Covid-19.
Now a new Google Play list shows that Asus will launch the Zenfone 8 in India as Asus 8Z. The smartphone name is listed along with the model numbers ASUS_I006D and ZS590KS. The list doesn’t mention anything about that Asus Zenfone 8 FlipTherefore, the smartphone is not expected to launch in the country.
The Asus Zenfone 8 is priced at $ 599 and is expected to be available in India with a starting price of Rs 45,000. The company is also expected to announce the smartphone’s official launch date in the coming days.

The Asus Zenfone 8 is powered by an octa-core processor Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 with 6 GB / 8 GB / 16 GB RAM. The smartphone is available in three memory variants: 64 GB, 128 GB and 256 GB.
The Zenfone 8 has a 5.9-inch Full HD + AMOLED display with a resolution of 1080 x 2400 pixels.
The display offers a refresh rate of 120 Hz and is protected with a layer of Corning Gorilla Glass Victus.
The Android 11 operating system, which is equipped with the company’s own ZenUI 8 layer, runs on the smartphone and offers dual SIM support.
The Asus Zenfone 8 has protection class IP68, which means that the smartphone is dust and waterproof. The handset is also equipped with a fingerprint sensor in the display and stereo speakers.
In terms of camera, the Asus Zenfone 8 has a dual rear setup with a 64-megapixel main sensor with a f / 1.8 aperture and a 12-megapixel ultra-wide-angle lens with a f / 2.2 aperture. There is a 12-megapixel front camera for selfies on the smartphone.
The Asus Zenfone 8 is powered by a 4000 mAh battery with 30 W fast charge support.
