At this point, Google will announce the next major Android update

Google announced the dates of the Google I / O 2021 developer conference – it’s the largest annual event. Google I / O 2021 will only be available online between May 18th and 20th. Google announced the development on Twitter. To keep things interesting, the dates were communicated through a punched card puzzle, which may be a little tricky for non-tech-savvy users to crack, but it would be a no-brainer for developers.

In relation to the event, Google will be sharing details on the next major Android update – Android 12 – as well as news on other products. All sessions are free to attend, including technical “Product Announcements and New Feature Introductions” sessions. Google will release more details on I / O 2021 later this month. Viewers can also sign up for workshops where Google product experts explain new features and there are also open forums.
Speaking of the next big one Android 12 Google recently announced the Second Developer Preview for Android 12, which gives Android users a glimpse into the new features Android 12 will bring to their phones.
With the Android 12 update, Google plans to add a revision taskbar for large-screen devices only. This taskbar is reportedly displayed at the bottom of the screen and shows the most frequently used apps as well as recently opened apps.
To improve video quality, Google is adding compatible media transcodes to support HEVC. With this function, an app that does not support HEVC can automatically recode the platform to AVC. For better image quality with more efficient compression, Android 12 supports the AV1 Image File Format (AVIF). Google claims that this will greatly improve the image quality for the same file size compared to older image formats like JPEG. Google will also introduce a new data protection feature along with several other optimizations.
