NEW DELHI: The government recently announced that all Indian citizens over the age of 18 will be able to receive a Covid-19 vaccine in India from May 1, 2021. The government has now announced that it will start making registrations for citizens over the age of 18 from April 24th.
Citizens eligible for the vaccine can register on Co-win portal – cowin.gov.in. To register, you must first enter your mobile phone number. You will then receive an OTP for verification by SMS. To complete the registration process, you need to click the “Verify” button.
Once you have registered on the CoWin website, a new registration page will appear asking you for details such as Photo ID Type, Photo ID Evidence Number, Name, Date of Birth, Gender and others. After submitting the details, you need to click the Register button. As soon as you are done, you will receive all the important information about the vaccination via SMS.
It is important to note that you can register up to 3 people with the same mobile number.
Apart from registering for the Covid vaccinationYou can also find the nearest Covid-19 vaccination center online. You need to visit the website www.cowin.gov.in and scroll down. You will see a map and a dialog box that says “Enter Location / Address / eLoc”. All you need to do is enter your location and hit enter.
On the other hand, you can also use Google Maps to find the Covid-19 vaccination center. All you have to do is search for nearby Covid-19 vaccinations on Google Maps and you will get a list of all the centers operating in your area.
