Fitbit Luxe: Technical Specifications
Fitbit Luxe has a touchscreen display and offers a “jewelry-like appearance”. The company says the tracker has “a soft, smooth shape that is inspired by the human body and sits lightly on your wrist.” It is said to have used a metal evaporation technique on the soft gold and platinum surfaces to give the smart band a premium look.
Fitbit has released a special edition of the tracker. It has partnered with Laguna Beach-based jewelry brand Gorjana to further enhance the style of Luxe. The special edition includes a Parker Link bracelet made of soft gold stainless steel and a floating classic peony bracelet made of silicone.
The health functions available in the Smart Band include automatic activity and sleep tracking, stress management and heart rate monitoring. Users can see their key wellbeing metrics from the Health Metrics dashboard in the Fitbit app. The dashboard tracks respiratory rate, heart rate variability (HRV), resting heart rate (RHR) and the variation in skin temperature. According to Fitbit, the oxygen saturation (SpO2) tracking feature will soon be available on the device.
Fitbit Luxe is said to have a battery life of up to five days. The band gives Fitbit Premium members access to a range of workouts and nearly 200 mindfulness sessions from well-known brands like Aaptiv, Aura, Breethe, and Ten Percent Happier to help manage stress. This also includes Deepak Chopra’s Mindful method.
Additional health tools available on the tracker include food, hydration and weight tracking, and menstrual health tracking. Premium members have access to more than 60 new nutritional content, including curated healthy recipes from Fitbit and Eating Well magazine. Users can also track their blood sugar levels using the logging feature in the Fitbit app.
The tracker has 20 different exercise modes on the wrist, including golf, pilates, spinning or tennis, as well as running, cycling or hiking. It also provides reminders to exercise, stay active, and reduce time spent sitting. There is also an active zone log, a personalized standard for tracking activity beyond steps that measures your time in each heart rate zone.
Fitbit Luxe, along with Google Fast Pair, is compatible with Android and iOS phones.
