NEW DELHI: Garmin expanded its range of smartwatches in India with the launch of Garmin approach S12 Smartwatch. The GPS-enabled smartwatch is designed to help golfers improve their game by providing accurate data for every shot.
The Garmin Approach S12 Smartwatch costs Rs 20,990 and can be purchased online from the websites of Amazon.in, synergizer.co.in, Flipkart and Tata Cliq. Customers can also purchase the wearable offline at all Garmin branded stores, Bhasin Sports, Bangalore Golf Store and World of Golf Sports.
More than 420,000 golf courses from all over the world are preinstalled on the smartphone.
The wearable comes with interchangeable quick release straps and has a 1.3-inch display that can be read by sunlight
Garmin Approach S12 updates user data through the Garmin Golf app. The app also shows other information like weekly leaderboards, tournaments, live scoring ratings, stroke analysis won, automatic scorecard uploads and much more.
Users can also pair the device with Approach CT10 club sensors for automatic club tracking. That way, users can see how far they hit each club. The company claims that the Garmin Approach S12 can provide up to 30 hours of battery backup on a single charge in GPS mode.
Garmin recently launched the Venu 2 and Venu 2S smartwatches in the United States. The GPS-enabled smartwatches have an AMOLED display, sensors for health monitoring, advanced functions for sleep tracking and much more.
The highlight of the smartwatches is the battery support. The Garmin Venu 2 is said to offer up to 11 days of battery backup, while the Venu 2S promises to provide 10 days of backup on a single charge. The smartwatches also support fast charging and 10 minutes of charging time promise a battery life of 1 day.
