Internet search giant Google announced new tools for brands to create a digital space for them that will make it easier to be discovered on Google platforms such as search, shopping, pictures, maps and YouTube.
In a blog post, the company revealed a number of new features being introduced on these platforms.
The company will soon allow companies to curate how their brand appears on Google for free. According to the company, this can be done “through videos, rich lifestyle images and interactive story formats”.
Google will also soon enable online shoppers to visualize what clothes look like on them through an AR apparel experience.
Another thing that Google has announced it will add soon is a merchant loyalty program. In this way, Google gives its customers access to special loyalty prices and benefits – including free shipping.
“If a consumer has a loyalty account with you, they can link it right away. If a consumer doesn’t, they can simply join your loyalty program with a click of the ‘create an account’ button, ”explains Google.
In terms of search, Google said it will make it easier for shoppers to discover brands’ promotions by launching an offer results page in search and on the shopping tab.
Another feature that Google is testing on the Search and Shopping tabs is that customers can discover products on Google by seeing a summary of all buying options from brands in one place.
“Whether it’s your e-commerce website, a local store, or Google’s native checkout process, this new cohesive format makes shopping easier for customers who expect convenience, and helps you keep your brand’s expanded omni-channel offering clear to present, ”added Google.
Google said this feature is currently being tested in Search and the Shopping tab plans to bring it to YouTube and Pictures later this year.
Regarding Google Maps and YouTube, Google said it will show it immediately when the products that are part of local inventory ads are available for immediate in-store pickup, roadside pickup, or later.
