NEW DELHI: Google assistant has emerged as the best virtual assistant based on the latest data published by Bespoken. According to a report from voicebot.ai, Google The assistant turned out to be better at answering complex questions compared to Siri and Alexa.
The study conducted by Bespoken used Amazon Echo Show 5, Apple HomePod Mini, and Google Nest Home Hub. During the test, the researchers asked each of the voice assistants a series of questions.
“They defined each question as simple or complex and sorted it into topics like movies, geography, and history. Each question had a different style of complexity than multiple topics, a non-grammatical set of keywords, and questions with no answer like questions who was the first person on that Mars? ”Mentions the report.
In this test, the Google Assistant did best, followed by Amazon Alexa and Siri. The report adds that all three voice assistants performed better on complex questions.
“We have two important insights from this initial research. “First, while Google Assistant outperformed Alexa and Siri in each category, all three have significant room for improvement,” Bespoken chief evangelist Emerson Sklar told Voicebot.
An online report recently found that Google had started an internal test of a new feature called guacamole. With this new feature, users can use the Google Assistant without saying the hotword “Hey Google”.
According to a report by 9to5Google, this feature allows Google Assistant users to perform quick voice tasks like turning off the alarm or answering calls without saying the trigger word.
The report adds that guacamole would allow users to simply say “stop,” “snooze,” and “reject the call” without saying “Hey Google” first.
