NEW DELHI: Last year in November, smartphone manufacturer Huawei announced that it has sold its sub-brand honor to a consortium. The company made this decision after the US sanctions against Huawei. The restrictions prohibited the smartphone manufacturer from using it GoogleApps and services.
Now Honor is an independent company and ready to introduce its new company Honor 50 series with Google apps and mobile services. As reported by XDA developers, Honor made this announcement via Twitter, in which the company confirmed that its next smartphone series will come with it Google Mobile Services.
The Honor 50 series will be the company’s first to include Google Mobile Services as Huawei has banned its use. Honor has also confirmed that upcoming smartphones will also use the company’s own layer of custom user interface – the Magic user interface. The company is also working on introducing new features to the user interface to improve the user experience.
The report also mentioned that, after Google, Honor is also considering resuming partnerships in the US with companies like Qualcomm and Intel.
Honor is expected to release the Honor 50 series soon. According to online reports, the company will launch two series smartphones named Honor 50 and Honor 50 Pro +. The flagship model should be equipped with a 2K display with a refresh rate of 120 Hz. The smartphone should also be equipped with two selfie cameras with 32MP and 8MP sensors.
On the back of the smartphone there should be a quad camera with a 50-megapixel main sensor, a 13-megapixel ultra-wide-angle lens, an 8-megapixel sensor and a ToF sensor.
On the downside, the Honor 50 will likely come with curved edges and a triple rear camera on the back.
