Almost a month after an important update was introduced – iOS 14.5 – Apple has another one for his iPhone User. The technology giant based in Cupertino rolled out iOS 14.6 to all iPhone users last night. While the latest update isn’t as extensive as iOS 14.5, it does have some for the iPhone. Here are some of the new features users can get with iOS 14.6:
New functions for the Podcasts app
With iOS 14.6, Apple’s Podcasts app receives the new subscription platform. This allows podcasts to offer users paid subscriptions as well as features such as ad-free episodes and subscriber-only episodes.
Identifying songs / music on iPhone becomes easier
Shazam could previously be used as a toggle to identify songs. However, with iOS 14.6, users can turn it into an app clip to get information about the song. The process is the same, but users can get song details through Shazam’s Clip app on the iPhone.
AirTag gets a few features
AirTag is the latest gadget from Apple and iOS 14.6 offers new features. If a user lost the AirTag, they can now add an email address instead of a phone number. Under iOS 14.6, AirTag also shows the owner’s half-hidden phone number when typed with an NFC-enabled device.
Apple Music gets better with iOS 14.6
Spatial audio, Dolby Atmos Support, Lossless Music – All new features are available to iPhone users with Apple Music subscription. Note that the features will officially launch in June, but iOS 14.6 will have support for them.
