The upcoming Microsoft Edge Version 92 adds some new features to web browsers such as: For example, native Office Viewer and Windows Search integration, as well as a tab sharing feature reported by Windows Latest. The functions are based on the Edge Browser both in Windows 10 and macOS.
The Office Viewer can be used to open users Microsoft Office Documents right in your browser without having to download them. This would include Microsoft Word, Excel and socket Applications. Users are spared the hassle of downloading a specific Office document in order to open it. With Windows Search, you can use the search function in the system tray to open bookmarks, search history, and look up other things.
The functions are designed to use Microsoft Cross-platform tools. The third feature, the Edge tab sharing feature, allows users to share a specific tab with other devices signed in to their Microsoft account. All you have to do is right click a tab to share with another device. Microsoft will add its own button for this feature in the address bar, the report said. These features are expected to be made available in the Edge browser after Microsoft first updated Windows 10.
To see how Office Viewer works, users will need to open Edge Settings after the update, then go to Downloads and check the “Quickly view Office files on the web with Office Viewer” option. That way, instead of downloading them, you should see the Office files in the browser.
