OnePlus 9: The OnePlus 9 series has said goodbye to this feature

The new OnePlus 9 phones came onto the market with features such as the SD 888 chipset (120 Hz) liquid AMOLED display and the Hasselblad Camera. But one function of the smartphone seems to have been replaced by another without including it in any announcements. The feature in question is File Dash. The recently launched flagship series has adopted Google’s Nearby Share instead of File Dash. The standard OnePlus File Manager does not show the File Dash option, multiple buyers of the OnePlus 9 and 9 Pro complained about Reddit.
The company also confirmed this in a statement to XDA, which means that File Dash has been dumped in favor of Nearby Share. In order for File Dash to work and transfer files wirelessly, it had to be both the sender and the recipient OnePlus phones. The company may have thought that implementing a more universal solution for a OnePlus phone would be better. The “Nearby sharing” function can be found under “Settings”, then under “Device connections” and from there under “Nearby sharing” to transfer the files wirelessly to another phone. Or they could take the older route via bluetooth.
With the Google Nearby Share was brought to the new OnePlus 9 series With smartphones, OnePlus is unlikely to bring the File Dash again. The function has been integrated for more flexibility when transferring files between Android phones. If you’re the OnePlus buyer who might rub on messages like this, you have a handy option: scrub and then try Nearby Share.
