Smartphone major OnePlus launched one App for the secure transfer of text, photos and files between devices. Called that ClipThe app was developed by the company’s OneLab team. The app is currently available for Android users and can be downloaded from Google Load game.
It’s also available as a Chrome extension for Windows and Mac users. OnePlus says the app will soon launch on iOS devices as well. It offers functions for the clipboard. The app and extension connect devices to share files. “Once installed, you can copy and paste on one device or use it to easily send files back and forth connected to as many devices as you want,” the company said in a statement.
The app uses Google Drive to transfer the data. According to OnePlus, data is safe with Clipt. “We only transmit one way to identify this data and communicate it to the other devices so that it is safe,” it says.
In the permissions, the app needs access to read and write from Google storage. “But Clipt can only download the files it creates when it’s isolated. In the app or extension, we keep the last 10 items, but afterwards they are automatically deleted so that your storage is not full, ”said OnePlus in its blog post.
