Oppo Watch was the company’s first smartwatch launched last year. The company is reportedly working on the watch’s successor and has already filed a trademark application for the watch name.
A new trademark application filed by Guangdong Oppo Mobile Telecommunication Corp. Ltd. filed with the Intellectual Office of the European Union revealed that the next watch is under the Oppo Watch series and is likely to be named Oppo Watch FreeAccording to a report on the LetsGo Digital website.
The application also suggests that Oppo could also suggest that the alleged Oppo Watch Free will be one Sports Clock. It is clearly stated that “Smartwatches; Sports watches and sports watches’ in the field of goods and services.
This means that the upcoming Oppo Watch may have a rugged and sporty design, unlike the first-generation sleek design. Or at least it brings more sport-related functions.
The brand bears the brand number 018478290 and is registered as Class 9 and 14 for watches, etc.
The trademark has yet to be approved. What we now know for sure is that the company is working on its next generation smartwatch.
Nothing else is currently known about the upcoming Oppo Watch. However, we can expect the Oppo Watch to see a similar rectangular design with a few changes in terms of design and features.
