Yes that is true. Pope Francis gets his own ‘Popemobile‘in form of electric vehicle from fishermen who would be called Ocean SUV. Henrik Fisker and Dr. Geeta Gupta-Fisker, co-founder of the company, recently traveled to Vatican City to see the Holy See, Pope Francis himself and presented him with the idea and vision of the design of an all-exclusive papal transport.
But why the Pope? Henrik Fisker said he was inspired by reading that Pope Francis “is very considerate of the environment and the effects of climate change on future generations.” Ergo, an electric vehicle for the Pope. But that’s not all when it comes to promoting the vehicle as being environmentally friendly. The interior of the vehicle will contain a variety of sustainable materials, such as “carpets made from recycled plastic bottles from the sea”. This fully electric vehicle is designed to offer the first zero-emission and zero-emission experience to the people who have gathered to receive the Pope’s blessing.
The official blog post states: “The spacious interior of the Fisker Ocean SUV bears a large, modern all-glass dome that gives Pope Francis access and visibility to greet the faithful. This specially created Fisker Ocean will be the first all-electric papal transport to complement a long line of iconic designs penned by Henrik Fisker.
The fully electric “Popemobile” should be ready by next year. Production begins on November 17, 2022. Fisker claims there are currently over 16,000 reservation holders for the electric SUV.
Would Bruce Wayne Be jealous of the ‘Popemobile’, did it really exist? Most likely not.
