PUBG Mobile Relaunch has long been a controversial issue since it was banned in the country. The game’s developer teased the game poster and launches, but nothing solid happened. The company accidentally dropped one Teaser video the Indian version of PUBG Mobile for a short period and then removed it. Followed by an updated thumbnail on the official website, which was last updated with the Diwali Coming soon poster.
According to the thumbnail, the Indian version of the game will be renamed Battlegrounds Mobile India. It’s not a coincidence like Krafton.Inc, the company behind the game, also registered a domain with the name earlier last month.
A popular esports website GemWire posted this through their official Instagram handle as well. The post on the website also claims that the new post was part of a video on Vimeo. The website also claims that Vimeo also has another video called India Recall Campaign Motion_v02.mp4 in the asset collection with the same thumb picture.
All of these new leaks and developments point to the game’s launch in India. So far, however, neither the company nor the Indian government have released any official details about the relaunch of the game with this new name.
Those who don’t know, the Government of India banned around 118 apps and games, including PUBG Mobile, on September 2, 2020. Shortly after the ban, the game’s developer Krafton.Inc worked to restart the game in India.
