NEW DELHI: Xiaomi’s sub-brand Redmi launched its first gaming smartphone in China. Synchronized Redmi K40 Gaming EditionThe smartphone has an FHD + display with a refresh rate of 1210 Hz. The smartphone has graphite layers stacked several times in combination with super large vapor chambers and new heat dissipation material for the aerospace industry.
The company also claims the smartphone provides good insulation and reduces the impact on nearby antennas to lower the temperature by 2 degrees Celsius. The smartphone also has a magnetic dual trigger design that allows users to play games with four fingers. The triggers also provide stable and realistic pressure feedback.
The Redmi K40 Gaming Edition comes with two speakers matched by Dolby Atmos. The smartphone also offers RGB lighting and game details.
Technical data of the Redmi K40 Gaming Edition
The Redmi K40 Gaming Edition has a 6.67-inch Full HD + display with a resolution of 1080 x 2400 pixels. The display is protected with a layer of Corning Gorilla Glass 5. The gaming smartphone is powered by an octa-core MediaTek Dimensity 1200 processor.
The Redmi K40 Gaming Edition offers 6 GB / 8 GB / 12 GB RAM and two storage options: 128 GB and 256 GB. The dual SIM smartphone using the Android 11 operating system is equipped with the company’s own MIUI 12.5 layer.
The Redmi K40 Gaming Edition has a triple rear camera with a 64-megapixel main sensor, an 8-megapixel ultra-wide angle lens and a 2-megapixel tele macro lens. There is a 16-megapixel selfie shooter on the front.
The smartphone is equipped with a side-mounted fingerprint sensor and an infrared sensor.
The gaming smartphone is supported by a 5065 mAh battery with 66 W fast charging support.
The Redmi K40 Gaming Edition is available in black, sliver and white. The price starts at 1,999 yuan (Rs 22,995).
