Samsung has been rolled out Android 11 Operating system update for two of its budget category phones – Galaxy A12 and Galaxy A02s. The update is currently being rolled out in Russia and is expected to be available in other global markets soon.
The new update brings the One UI 3.1 (Core) operating system to the Galaxy A12 phone. The firmware version is also updated to A125FXXU1BUE3. The update also changes the Android security patch to the month of May.
As far as the Samsung Galaxy A02swill be updated to One UI 3.1 and will get firmware version A025FXXU2BUDC. However, the update contains the April security patch from last month instead of the May build.
Other features that come with the update are one-time App permissions, improved smart lock control, improved Digital wellbeing and chat bubbles.
The company recently rolled out the Android 11 update for a two-year-old smartphone in India. Samsung introduced One UI 3.1 based on the operating system update for Android 11 for the Galaxy M40, which launched in 2019 with Android 10.
The new firmware update is supplied with the version number M405FDDU2CUC6 and weighs 2 GB. The software update also includes a security patch for the month of March 2021. After the update, users can take advantage of Android 11 features like a standard screen recorder, a better media controller, and more.
