NEW DELHI: Giant in consumer electronics Samsung has added another smartphone to its Galaxy M series smartphone range with the launch of the Galaxy M42 in India. The 5G-capable smartphone is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon processor. The smartphone is also the first in the Galaxy M series to come with Samsung Pay and Samsung Knox.
Price and availability
The Samsung Galaxy M42 5G There are two variants: 6 GB RAM + 128 GB internal storage and 8 GB RAM + 128 GB internal storage at a price of 21,999 and 23,999 Rs respectively. The smartphone can be purchased in the color options Prism Dot Black and Prism Dot Gray. The smartphone will be available online on the Amazon.in and Samsung.com websites and offline in select retail stores.
As an introductory offer, the Samsung Galaxy M42 5G will be available at a reduced price of Rs 19,999 and Rs 21,999, respectively. The smartphone will go on sale next month.
Samsung Galaxy M42 5G specifications
The Samsung Galaxy M42 5G has a 6.6-inch HD + Super AMOLED Infinity U display with a resolution of 900 x 1600 pixels. The smartphone is powered by an octa-core processor Qualcomm Snapdragon 750G with 6 GB / 8 GB RAM.
The smartphone offers 128 GB of internal storage that can be expanded by adding a microSD card. The Android 11 operating system is running on the Samsung Galaxy M42 5G, which is equipped with the company’s own level of the One UI.
The dual SIM smartphone is equipped with a built-in fingerprint sensor. The Samsung Galaxy M42 5G has a quad rear camera setup with a 48-megapixel main sensor with a f / 1.8 aperture, an 8-megapixel ultra-wide-angle lens with a f / 2.2 aperture, a 5-megapixel Depth sensor and a 5 megapixel macro sensor with a f / 2.4 aperture. There is a 20-megapixel selfie shooter with an aperture of f / 2.2 on the front.
The Samsung Galaxy M42 5G is powered by a 5000mAh battery with 15W support for adaptive fast charging.
