NEW DELHI: Giant in consumer electronics Samsung released the Galaxy S21 5G Olympic Games Edition in Japan. The company launched the smartphone as part of its summer collection ahead of the 2021 Olympics in Japan.
Samsung has been launching Olympic Edition smartphones since 2014 and the last time the company released the Olympic Games Athlete Edition Galaxy S20 + 5G. The newest Samsung Galaxy S21 The Olympic Games Edition smartphone features a Tokyo Olympics on the back and is available in phantom blue with a gold finish on the sides.
The company hasn’t announced pricing for the smartphone yet, but Japanese wireless operator NTT Docomo has started taking pre-orders for the phone. The introduction is expected for the beginning of June 2021. The smartphone has a different design, but the technical data remains the same.
Samsung Galaxy S21 5G Olympic Games Edition Specifications
The Samsung Galaxy S21 5G of the Olympic Games Edition has a 6.2-inch FHD + display with a resolution of 1080 x 2400 pixels. The display offers an adaptive refresh rate of 120 Hz and is protected with a coating made of Corning Gorilla Glass Victus.
The Android 11 operating system, on which the company’s own level of the One UI is located, runs on the smartphone.
The Samsung Galaxy S21 5G of the Olympic Games is powered by an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 processor with 8 GB of RAM. The discount is available for the 128 GB storage variant of the smartphone.
The premium smartphone offers dual SIM support and has an IP68 degree of protection, which makes the device waterproof.
The high-end smartphone has a triple rear camera with a 12-megapixel main sensor with a f / 1.8 aperture, a 12-megapixel ultra-wide-angle lens with a f / 2.2 aperture and a 64-megapixel telephoto lens with 1 : 2.0 aperture. There is a 10-megapixel selfie shooter with an aperture of f / 2.2 on the front.
The handset has a 4800 mAh battery with 25 W fast charge and 15 W Qi support for wireless charging.
