Among all rivals, it was mainly signal and telegram that was noticed and since then there has been a silent feature battle between these platforms.
One such new feature, now discovered in Signal and missing from WhatsApp, is support for sharing high resolution images.
According to a report by Android Police, the app’s latest Signal Beta v5.11.0 shows that users can share 4K images – again without changing any settings.
To send a 4K image, users need to tap the image icon in the lower left and select High.
Just last week, in a blog post, Signal challenged Facebook and Instagram’s privacy policies by sharing a series of ads on Instagram to show how the social network collects information from users and displays ads based on those private details .
The company claimed that companies like Facebook are not building technology for users, but for their data.
“They are collecting everything they can from FB, Instagram and WhatsApp to bring visibility to people and their lives,” Signal said in a blog post.
