NEW DELHI: Last year Twitter introduced that Clubhouse called rival live audio conversation function Spaces. The company has now announced that it will allow accounts with 600 or more followers to host Spaces. The function is available for both Android and iOS users.
The company announced that it has decided to have 600 followers based on feedback from its readers. “These accounts are likely to have had a good experience hosting live conversations because of their existing audience. Before we create the ability to create a room for everyone, let’s focus on learning more, making it easier to see spaces and people help to enjoy them. ” with a large audience, “the company said in a statement.
Aside from this new functionality, Twitter also revealed the changes that will be made to Spaces in the future. The microblogging website announced that a feature called “microblogging” will be introduced soon Ticketed Spaces.
With the “Ticketed Spaces” function, Twitter would like to reward the multitude of Spaces. The hosts can set ticket prices and how many are on sale. A limited group can host Ticketed Spaces for the coming months. Hosts earn most of the revenue from ticket sales, and Twitter will keep a small amount of money as well.
The company will also introduce a reminder function. To keep track of what’s happening and when users can schedule and set reminders for upcoming Spaces in the coming weeks.
