With the increase in the number of users, the cloud-based messaging app has introduced many new features to provide a rich and smooth user experience.
Now the app is set to get the long-awaited group video calling feature. As reported by Yahoo Finance, Telegram CEO Pavel Durov announced that the iOS version of the app will get support for group video calling next month. Initially, the company planned to roll out the feature last year.
According to the report, Durov made this announcement through a text message he posted on his official Telegram channel. He wrote, “We’re going to add a video dimension to our voice chats in May, making Telegram a powerful platform for group video calling. Screen sharing, encryption, noise reduction, desktop and tablet support – everything you can expect from a modern device.” Video conferencing tool, but with a telegram level user interface, speed and encryption. Stay up to date! ”
Telegram already offers end-to-end encryption in single video calls.
It was recently reported that Telegram is planning to launch two new web apps. According to a report by DroidMaze, the company will soon launch two web apps – Telegram WebK and Telegram WebZ.
The apps add features like chat folders, sticker support, search, and other new options. However, it lacks some of the important features required for regions that may go back to lockdown mode due to the COVID-19 virus: video and voice calls.
