NEW DELHI: Google recently added some new features to its virtual assistant. The tech giant has again announced some improved family features for Google assistant. The company has introduced improved broadcasts, new bells, and more.
Google mentioned that it was introducing these functions on the occasion of Mother’s Day.
With the new update, Google has expanded the broadcast function, which now allows you to send messages to Assistant devices in your house. The Family Broadcast feature lets you reach your family wherever they are and they can answer from any device, including their phones.
At the same time, the company added new memories to its Family Bell function. Now you can set up recurring reminders for your family. Now, with Google, you can automatically remind your family that someone needs to water the plants or remind the kids to clean the house.
The company also announced that the Family Bell feature will receive support for eight new languages in the coming weeks, including Dutch, French, German, Hindi, Italian, Japanese, Korean, Portuguese and Spanish.
Aside from that, the Google Assistant is also getting new stories and games that you can access on a smart display or Android Device. For a full list of all the stories available, just say, “Hey Google, tell me a story.”
Recently, an online report found that Google had started an internal test of a new feature called guacamole. With this new feature, users can use the Google Assistant without saying the hot word “Hey Google”.
According to a report by 9to5Google, this feature allows Google Assistant users to perform quick voice tasks like turning off the alarm or answering calls without saying the trigger word.
