The next generation Apple Watch could come in a green color option, claims a report from CultofMac, based on a rumor from Apple Tipper Jon Prosser during his Genius Bar Podcast. The device could also have a new, flat-edged design, as the tipster claims.
If the next Apple WatchIt turns out that the Apple Watch Series 7, most likely called the Apple Watch Series 7, has flatter edges. According to the tipster, this would be a “more subtle” design change. Apple doesn’t want the flat design to be sharper around the edges than it needs to be. Prior to Prosser, TF Securities analyst Ming Chi Kuo also predicted that the Apple Watch will see a “significant change in form factor design” in 2021. The flat design could be part of a design overhaul of Apple products as the iPhone 12, iPad Pro, and iPad Air launched with a similar design aesthetic.
As for the other expected features of the next Apple Watch, many rumors suggest that Apple plans to add glucose monitoring to the Apple Watch 7, which the company itself has hinted at. As reported by 9to5Mac, Apple mentioned the feature in one of its regular polls. The Cupertino-based tech giant already offers key features like EKG and SpO2 monitoring in his smartwatch.
The report found that the survey asked users about apps they installed to track their eating habits, medications, and blood sugar levels. This suggests that the company is considering introducing blood glucose monitoring systems into the smartwatch. Monitoring blood sugar levels is a feature that is eagerly anticipated as the number of people suffering from diabetes around the world has only increased.
