NEW DELHI: Consumer electronics will launch their next generation Galaxy Z Fold3 smartphone this year. If rumors are to be believed, the company could launch its own newest foldable smartphone in July of this year.
Now a new leak shows that the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold3 runs on the most powerful Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 processor. According to Ice Universe, the foldable smartphone will be priced similar to its predecessor and powered by the flagship processor.
The leakster adds that the new model of the smartphone will be lighter compared to the 13 grams Galaxy Z Fold2. This weight reduction is due to the new armor frame. Rumors also suggest it Samsung may include a titanium or carbon fiber frame which is lighter than the steel and aluminum frame.
Another rumor has it that the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold3 is said to be waterproof. If so, it will be the first foldable smartphone to be water and dust resistant.
The Samsung Galaxy Z Fold3 is said to be backed by a 4380 mAh battery, which is slightly smaller than the Z Fold2 battery that the company launched last year.
It is also said that the main Galaxy Z Fold3 will come with a 7.55-inch main screen instead of the 7.6-inch screen of the Galaxy Z Fold2.
It is also said that the smartphone will be equipped with an ultra-thin glass display with a refresh rate of 120 Hz. The Samsung Galaxy Z Fold3 is expected to come with S Pen support, but it doesn’t have a slot for the pen.
