Instant messaging app Whatsapp has reportedly started expanding support for different playback speeds for voice messages to Android beta users of the app.

WhatsApp Android beta users can check whether or not this feature is enabled for them by simply playing a voice message. If this function has been activated for them, they will be shown an icon for the playback speed.

The feature is currently available to WhatsApp Android beta users. However, it is expected to roll out to non-beta users soon as well. Additionally, iOS users are likely to get support for this soon.
Earlier this month, WABetaInfo claimed that WhatsApp will soon support transferring chats if they switch from iPhone on Android and vice versa.
The report claims that a future update for iOS and Android will bring the App enables the ability to migrate users’ chat history. “Whenever the user tries to link a device with a different operating system to their WhatsApp account, they must always be updated to the latest WhatsApp update available on the Appstore or TestFlight to avoid compatibility errors with the Android version, ”the report said.
