The company shared the update via a post on Twitter. “Would you like to have your Xiaomi devices serviced, but you cannot move out and the guarantee is expiring? Don’t worry, we’ve got it all covered! If the warranty for your Xiaomi devices expires in May or June of this year, we will extend it for 2 months. Stay at home. Stay safe, “said the tweet shared by Xiaomi India’s official Twitter handle.

As mentioned in the publication, Xiaomi customers can also book online appointments on Mi.com for customer service. Xiaomi’s tweet does not specifically mention that the warranty has only been extended for smartphones. In fact, it says on Xiaomi devices, which suggests that the extension will be available for other Xiaomi products as well.
Earlier this month Poco and Vivo extended warranty on their smartphones. While Vivo has announced a 30-day extension of its products, Poco is granting a two-month extended warranty on its smartphones whose warranty period expires in May and June. Poco has also canceled product launches for the month of May. Poco said it “wanted to reiterate that nothing is more important than the well-being of our employees, consumers, members of the Poco family, and anyone associated with us.”
