Chinese consumer electronics brand Xiaomi has sent a media invitation confirming that the company plans to launch a new line of smartphones in India soon.
The launch will take place on April 23, the day the company is already planning to launch Mi 11 Ultra.
According to Xiaomi’s invitation, the company will be the Mi 11X series.
Rumors online suggest that the Mi 11X series is expected to include two handsets – Mi 11X and Mi 11X Pro. These are said to be the renamed versions of the Redmi K40 and Redmi K40 Pro Plus that were launched in China earlier this year.
More details and clarity on the Mi 11X series are expected to be revealed in the next week.
Xiaomi is already known to start that Wed 11 Ultra Smartphone on April 23.
The Mi 11 was launched globally in the company’s home country of China in December 2020 and last month. The four devices – Mi 11 Ultra, Mi 11i, Mi 11 Lite, and Mi 11 Lite 5G – are part of the company’s Mi 11 series.
Mi 11 Ultra: Technical specifications and functions
The unique selling point of the Mi 11 Ultra is that the device includes a tiny 1.1-inch AMOLED screen on the back with the camera setup. This secondary screen doubles as a small mirror to see yourself before you click on selfies, as well as a notification center.
The smartphone has a 6.81-inch QHD display with a refresh rate of 120 Hz and a touch sampling rate of 480 Hz. For imaging tasks, there is a 50-megapixel main sensor, a 48-megapixel ultra Wide lens and a 48 megapixel telephoto zoom lens. There is a 20MP sensor on the front.
In terms of specs, it’s powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 SoC with 12 GB of RAM and 256 GB of UFS 3.1 storage. Backed by a 5000mAh battery, it offers support for wired and wireless charging at 67W. It also has an IP68 rating, which means that it is waterproof.
