Video Conference platform Zooming has announced an update that not only offers new functions in meeting rooms, but also contains bug fixes and security improvements.
Based on the meeting features, Zoom introduces a new annotation tool called Disappearing pen. This allows the presenter to highlight on the shared screen to highlight certain information.
The company also offers full support Emoji Reaction suite, meaning any emoji available for zoom chat can be used as a reaction in a meeting. However, the host has the option of restricting reactions to the standard phrase or allowing the full suite of emoji to be used.
In addition to these features, Zoom also introduces improvements in power consumption, improved data protection notices, more warnings about untrusted server certificates and much more.
Earlier this week, the company announced that it had created a $ 100 million fund to invest in start-up software companies that use its technology to create apps.
Kelly Steckelberg, Zoom’s chief financial officer, told Reuters that the fund will have investments of $ 250,000 to $ 2.5 million in corporate buildings. “Zoom apps“which will be integrated with the company’s video conferencing software to add new functionality.
